The final draft of the North Somerset Local Plan 2039 confirms no development is proposed in the fields around Failand:
In fact, almost no new development is now proposed in the North Somerset Green Belt.
Proposed development sites are indicated in red, the nearest being Grove Farm west of Backwell (outside the Green Belt).
However it is proposed to remove (inset) the Failand triangle itself, outlined in black, from the Green Belt. This could result in unwelcome infill development within the triangle and there is the risk that once you have a hole in the Green Belt it could expand.
