FTTC is now available

Where & When map

Our FTTC cabinet went live in 2016 and you can now order a fibre service from your ISP.

If you log into your ISP account, there should be an option to Upgrade your service. This should now list Fibre packages as well as ADSL services like the one you currently have.

If you order, you will be sent a VDSL wireless router to replace your existing ADSL router and given an activation date. On the appointed day you plug in the new router to a filter and it should work just like the old one but at the higher speed.

The packages list the speed you are likely to get. Near the cabinet and on good lines these are up to 76Mbps but fall with distance to as low as 10Mbps at locations furthest away.

Voice and ADSL will continue to come from Long Ashton via copper so will not change.

Up to 38Mb and up to 76Mb FTTC services will be available from your ISP eg BT retail:

All ISPs are reselling the same up to 38Mb and 76Mb services from BT wholesale. You can stay with your current ISP or move to a new one. Deals on the up to 38Mb service range from under £10/month to over £30/month depending on the package. Click here to open a new tab where you can compare ISPs.
