Defibrillator

Failand

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has been installed outside the Failand shop.

You can watch a video of how to use the device on someone who has had a suspected cardiac arrest.
The demo starts around 1:10 after some advertising blurb.

The defibrillator is housed in a vandal-proof cabinet. You gain access to it by keying in a code on the cabinet keypad. The code will be given to you by the ambulance control centre, when you dial 999. The ambulance control centre will know that there is a defibrillator in the village. Always dial 999 before going for the defibrillator, and follow the ambulance centre's instructions.
